Jackie loves to explore our beautiful coastline, foraging and taking photos to paint. She is passionate about all things nature, old signs, typography, vintage advertising, sign ghosting and mid century design.
A childhood living at the base of Mt Wellington in Tasmania, Jackie would spot platypus on her walk to school - and spent her days drawing and painting trees and the surrounding nature.
Her work is influenced by a diverse life, having also spent time in the Adelaide Hills, Coogee beach in Sydney, St Kilda, Elwood and her own studio in Port Melbourne - where she drew on inspiration from graphic design, advertising posters and mid-century modern design.
Jackie's varied creative strengths enabled her to achieve honours for her pictorial art and gold leaf work at the Melbourne College of Decoration; she has also studied at the Melbourne School of Art and Photography and Interior Design at RMIT.
Her work has been commissioned for many buildings and homes in Melbourne and Sydney.
She paints intuitively, creating work that features nature and typography; her expression sometimes hidden under layers and layers of paint to tell a story where you will see letters, numbers, feelings and depth.
A self-confessed women’s empowerment advocate, Heidi is determined to guide women to own their power.
Fiercely independent Australian artist Kirsten Jackson seeks to suffuse the whole world with radiant beacons of painted happiness!
Collectors from Europe, Hong Kong and the US are enamoured by the unique personality and spirited colour palette found in Kirsten’s original paintings and prints. Working in impasto style with a variety of acrylic mediums, each work is infused with a boundless energy and joy for life that is 100% pure Kirsten. Her determination to exude shameless, infectious happiness everyday through her art has made Kirsten a beloved fixture among the Australian art community.
A life-long love of painting and studying Visual Arts at RMIT, inspired Kirsten’s vibrant career as an abstract artist. Expressionist in style, her first series, “Faces” depicts figurative portraits of Kirsten’s late mother, whom Kirsten strongly believes guided her to art. Whilst her work has since evolved into a texturally rich exploration of colour, light and space, Kirsten’s earlier portraits spontaneously take form in her works to this day.
“I build layer upon layer of texture, while the colour carries emotion; capturing and reflecting light. It grows and grows until finally it explodes in a vibrant visual delight.”
Painting for Kirsten is a meditative process. She uses art as a positive outlet; centring herself in the solitude of her studio with little more than her canvas and paints to create works that project happiness upon the viewer and herself. She’ll move near-finished works from the studio into her own home, communing with a piece for several weeks until satisfied it is truly done.
“It is an art in itself to know when the piece is complete.”
Kirsten’s works can be found gracing the glossy pages of magazines like Home Beautiful, Inside Out, Real Living and Modern Home Magazine and her paintings were hand-selected to adorn the walls of nearly every room in Southbank’s Aria Hotel. Meanwhile, her joy-sparking global journey continues with (frequently sold-out) shows in New York, London, Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, Hamburg, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan, Sydney and her hometown of Melbourne.

Wildflower
Wildflower is a celebration of Australian native flora. Focusing in on a central bloom, the surrounding world disappears into form and colour. This piece captures that moment of taking pause to appreciate the beauty of our natural world.
Her work takes you on an interpretive journey of landscape through the mediums of oil and acrylic. With each gaze her pieces grow in-depth as more layers emerge through uncovered etchings and subtle brush strokes.
The adventure is in the journey of the unknown. Her application, capturing the inner workings of her mind and projecting the experience of travel on the canvas.
Growing up with a variety of artistic family influences, Armstrong has been exposed to the arts and has been a ‘maker’ for as long as she can remember. She paints to understand her life and cultural heritage as she lives it, blending her innate love for colour and nature with contemporary perspectives of ‘connection’, to create visually bold and uplifting imagery.
Having graduated from QUT in 2003 with a dual degree in Visual Art and Secondary Education, Armstrong has over 12 years experience as an Arts Educator and entered the professional art world as a practicing Artist in 2011. Painting is her passion and her style is largely inspired by striking palettes and patterns observed both in the design world as well as from the natural surrounds of her Tamborine Mountain home. Her work largely deals with concepts of ‘Self’, ‘Place’ and ‘Empowerment’.
"In this life there are few pleasures that truly immerse the mind, body and soul bringing fourth deep feelings of bliss, rejuvenation and honest self-awareness. For me painting is my ultimate indulgence, my most treasured form of expression and certainly my idea of paradise. My work aims to communicate positivity and acceptance of ‘self’ through a celebration of colour, culture, nature and pattern.

Carley has strong feelings towards the way humans treat animals, this inspires her to use her work to highlight the influence of human population and greed on the environment. Each piece she creates holds a special meaning, hidden in the flowers, the insects, birds or animals. Carley’s pieces contain references to endangered fauna, extinct animals and wildlife at risk.
Carley likes to use her work to get people to think about how their actions affect the environment. Carley uses patterns and bold colours to provide a glimmer of hope and to help people realise that we as individuals can make a difference. In this way she is able to capture the mood or feeling of the piece, using vivid and earthy colour pallets, visible brush stokes, mark making textures and abstraction.
Her subject matter is drawn from nature, a snippet into an introspective world, and links to her nostalgic feelings and emotions reminiscent of childhood memories. She aims to bring forth the juxtaposition of the outer and inner world, communicating both whimsical beauty and meaningful connections to both nature and the ones we love.

While every effort is made during the design and development process to create a long-lasting product, your yoga and Pilates mat won't last forever. A general rule of thumb is to replace your mat every 12-18 months, although this will depend on how much you use it and how you take care of it.
We recommend wiping down your mat with a damp cloth after a hot or vigorous yoga or Pilates session but for those stubborn smells, wash your mat on a gentle cycle (on its own) in cold water. No detergents, essential oils or dryers.
If you travel with your mat, avoid leaving in a hot car or direct sunlight for long periods of time.
Keeping your mat clean and well sanitised will extend its life and keep you feeling fresh and focused during your workout.
We say "The more you sweat the better you grip!" for a reason.
If you notice your new mat is slick, it may be due to the non-slip protection coating. The key to breaking in your new mat is to use them as much as possible, as your body heat and sweat will help to "break in" the coating quicker and help you to find stability in those challenging poses.
Breaking in a mat can take up to two months.
Follow our care instructions to keep your microfibre Workout Towel ultra-absorbent, soft, and antibacterial for as long as possible.
yogat yoga and Pilates mats and towels are warranted against manufacturer’s defect (from date of purchase) for 6 months. Product covered by the yogat warranty will be replaced at yogat's discretion.
What’s not covered
There are many ways to recycle your workout mat, including donating, upcycling, recycling, composting, and repurposing. By choosing to recycle your yoga mat, you can reduce waste and give it a new life, while also helping to protect the environment.
Check out our top tips on how to recycle or upcycle your workout mat.
