Lena Baumgartner

Born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, Lena began her creative journey as a young girl learning to make things in the form of knitting and sewing during her school holidays. She then went on to study and get a degree in Civil Aviation and closed her creativity away.

After taking maternity leave from a busy and stressful full time role for an aviation company, she was gifting ‘time’ with her first son to explore the creativity she was craving in her life.

A self taught abstract artist inspired by memorable life events and joyful memories with her kids and surrounding nature. She creates landscape interpretations with bold colours as well as organic flowing abstract pieces using her favourite mediums acrylic, oil and occasional fine paint pens for detailing. Alongside being a creative and a mum, she is also a keen practising and instructor for hot yoga with a passion for mindfulness through movement.

“Yoga is so healing for our monkey mind, it can teach us to quiet the chatter and to truly be present through movement and breathing. I am delighted to be working with Yogat. I found yoga the same year I started working a stressful job. It still baffles me to think I have done full circle in my career and have found my way back through my connection to yoga.”
