Jackie grew up in rural Victoria, in the small town of Mildura. She began painting and drawing from a young age, however at age 18 decided to stop art and begin an Occupational Therapy degree.
Regardless of the fact she sold her first piece at 15, she studied after feeling societal pressure to 'find a real job'. However, merely 3 weeks away from graduating she had had enough and was time to follow her true calling.
She has been painting professionally for just over a year now and has never looked back. She is known for her vibrant use of colour, design, and abstract ideas. She has held several solo exhibitions throughout this time, as well as being a part of numerous group shows. Primarily working with acrylic paint on canvas.
You can see her work with the Royal Children's Hospital 150th Anniversary Arts Trail "Me & Uoo Uoo" as well as on her online shop, and the online shop “The Block Shop” from the hit TV show “The Block”. One of her murals can also be found on iconic structures in Geelong including “The Big Shed” which is now ‘The BottleWorks”. Her work is also sold across Victoria and interstate.
“It was an absolute joy to work with Yogat. As yoga is an integral part of my creative process, aligning my art with a local Australian brand felt like the perfect pairing.”
